"When you see only One set of footprints, it was then I carried you." That promise is engraved on the upper barrel of every Footprints in the Sand pen. Each one is turned by hand in my Texas shop, sanded and finished one at a time, and ready to be carried, written with, or given to someone who needs the reminder.

The inscription

When you see only One set of footprints
It was then I carried you

Why you will love it

  • Faith-inspired design: a cross sits on the clip between lines of the poem, footprints trail into the distance beside ocean waves on the end of the pen, and a single set of footprints in the sand marks the tip
  • Smooth twist-action ballpoint, with a black Parker-style refill included and standard Parker-style replacements available for years of use
  • Hand-turned body in one-of-a-kind acrylic or Bethlehem olivewood, matched to engraved hardware in chrome, antique pewter, gold or gun metal
  • Each pen is finished by hand for a smooth, comfortable feel and a lasting shine
  • The pen you choose is the pen you receive: every blank is unique and once it is gone, it is gone

Details

  • Approx. size: 5.4 in long, 0.6 in wide, 0.7 in high
  • The two wood pens are turned from Bethlehem olivewood
  • Weight: about 5 oz packed
  • Handmade in small batches, so exact sizes and patterns vary slightly from pen to pen

A thoughtful gift for

  • Baptisms, confirmations, graduations and anniversaries
  • Pastors, chaplains, mentors and church volunteers
  • Anyone who is grieving, healing or simply needs encouragement
  • Collectors of faith-based and handcrafted writing instruments
